Should I leave a little note in the pocket of his coat?/ – these lyrics show that she is deciding how she is going to break up with her boyfriend. They also show that she does not want to break up with him in person. She continues the song with the lyrics – /Maybe I’ll just disappear. I don’t want to see a tear./ – by not breaking up with him in person she is avoiding seeing any tears or emotions from her boyfriend. She ends the first verse with /The weekend’s almost here./ which shows that she is ready to go out, have fun, and be single.

In the chorus, Gomez describes picking out a dress and shoes. She repeats the line /I’ll be single soon/ to emphasize that she is coming out of a relationship and ready to have a fun time out in the town. She adds in the chorus /I know he will be a mess when I break the news/ to share how her boyfriend is going to react but she reminds her listeners that it’s okay because she will be single and will be able to do whatever she wants to do.

Gomez’s single debuted at #13 on the Billboard Global 200 Chart. Now, this is not the first time she has been debuted on Billboard Global. Her singles “Lose You To Love Me,” “I Want You To Know,” and “Good For You” were just a few others that have been listed.

Any Concerts in the Future?

Selena Gomez has been dropping hints that she would love to be on tour again in 2024.
